How to Enable JavaScript

To enable JavaScript, continue reading this page. Once finished, press the button below to test whether you were successful.

Mozilla Firefox

  • Select Tools >> Options... from the browser toolbar.
  • Click the Content button in the top row of options.
  • Make sure Enable JavaScript is checked (You do not need to enable Java, but it is OK if you do).
  • Note: You may wish to install the NoScript extension for Firefox to control which sites can run JavaScript.

Internet Explorer

  • Select Tools >> Internet Options... from the browser toolbar.
  • Click the Security tab at the top of the popup Internet Options window.
  • Click the Internet icon in the list of zones.
  • Click the Custom Level button near the bottom of the window.
  • In the new window that pops up, scroll down to the Active Scripting item.
  • Select the option marked Enable.
  • Click OK to save settings

Safari

  • Select Preferences from the Safari toolbar.
  • Select Security tab at the top.
  • Make sure Enable JavaScript is checked.

Opera 8 and 9

  • Select Tools >> Quick Preferences... from the browser toolbar.
  • Make sure Enable JavaScript is checked.

Opera 6 and 7

  • Select File >> Preferences... from the browser toolbar.
  • Click Multimedia.
  • Under the JavaScript heading, select Enable JavaScript.

Konqueror

  • Select Configure Konqueror from the Settings menu.
  • Make sure Enable JavaScript globally is checked under the Java & Javascript tab.

Netscape 6.x and 7.x (Mozilla 1.0)

  • Select Edit >> Preferences... menu item from the browser toolbar.
  • Click on the Advanced label displayed in the list of options on the left hand side of the popup Preferences window.
  • On the right hand side select the checkbox marked Enable Javascript for Navigator.
