Trademark Cease and Desist Letter

Trademark infringement is a violation of the specific and exclusive rights provided by U.S. law, which attach to a trademark. A trademark is a name, logo or any kind of distinctive indicator that would be used to identify oneself or one's business. Infringement is the illegal use of a trademark owned by someone else, or use of a confusingly similar name, logo or distinctive indicator. If you have become aware of someone infringing on your trademark rights it is a good idea to demand that they cease and desist use. Use this document to send them warning and hopefully end the situation without any further action.
