A beta test is a test that is typically a second round of testing a new product. It is usually used in the context of software. A beta test agreement is an agreement between the owner of the product and the beta tester, or the person testing and evaluating the product. The agreement contains non disclosure clauses to prevent release of any confidential information about the product as well as other terms of the license to use the product.
